How to distinguish the authenticity of "imported mechanical parts"

Date of issue:2023-1-12 14:53:26

Good accessories are the basis to ensure the normal operation of construction machinery and equipment, but due to the need for maintenance machinery and the drive of interests, there are various imported construction machinery accessories with different quality on the market. At present, the engineering machinery parts imported on the market mainly include the pure parts of the complete machine factory, the parts of the supporting factory, and the exquisite packaging of the pure parts, but they are the parts of the non-original complete machine factory imported from South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other Asian countries and regions, as well as the parts imitated by some domestic informal factories or even private workshops, but they are printed with the imported pure parts or the packaging of the manufacturer, and sold as imported pure parts. These accessories are collectively referred to as fakes. Although they can be used, they are far from meeting the quality requirements of the original factory's pure parts. Especially the imitation parts produced by informal manufacturers cannot meet the quality requirements of the original parts and the manufacturer's products in terms of material, technology, function, etc., which has an impact on the normal use and maintenance of mechanical vehicles. Therefore, it is very necessary for the operating and using units to identify the imported mechanical parts. Imported mechanical parts can be identified from many aspects, mainly from packaging, internal quality, product price and purchase channels. The identification of the outer packaging is based on the packaging, which is an important procedure for inspecting the authenticity of imported accessories. The packaging of pure components and accessories from foreign manufacturers is exquisite. There are certain rules for color, pattern and style. It is generally difficult to copy the same. The imitation packaging is rough and easy to distinguish. However, some imitators rely on modern printing technology to make the packaging of parts very lifelike, which is difficult to distinguish if not carefully identified. Generally, imported mechanical parts have outer packaging and inner packaging, and the outer packaging includes packing box and packing box; The inner packaging is usually marked packaging paper and plastic bags or paper bags. The outer packing box (box) of genuine imported accessories is pasted with the manufacturer's uniform, clear printing, excellent paper, and the GENUINEPARTS (genuine parts) mark, and marked with the part number, name, quantity and the country of the manufacturer. The imitation label is not finely printed and the color is either light or heavy. It is difficult to be consistent with the packaging of the original parts. The part number printed by the computer and the color marked by the manufacturer are either light or heavy. The authenticity can be distinguished by careful identification. From the perspective of packaging cases (boxes), the imported packaging cases (boxes) have a strong texture and clear patterns. Generally, the packaging boxes are printed with the marks of the manufacturer and genuine parts, while the imitation packaging is also printed with these marks, but the colors are not correct and the patterns are not clear. In order to prevent counterfeiting, some foreign companies set anti-counterfeit marks on their packaging labels, which can be noted during identification. The inner packaging is usually made of wrapping paper, paper bags or plastic bags, and the packaging is printed with authentic components and company marks. The patterns, colors and patterns of the packaging paper are difficult to be the same as the imitations. When identifying the packaging of imported parts, it should also be noted that construction machinery and automobile manufacturers have their own parts suppliers. When importing accessories from manufacturers, the packaging box has both the marks of the complete machine factory and the marks of the supporting factory. For example, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, its piston ring is matched by RIKENCORPO-RATION, and the outer packing box is printed with RIK mark. However, the single piston ring box inside is a flower box package marked by Mitsubishi, which is marked as MIT-SUBISHI. The piston ring instructions indicate both Mitsubishi Motor Industry Co., Ltd. and PolyResearch Co., Ltd., so don't mistake the internal and external inconsistency for not being a genuine part. The quality identification of products is the key link to identify the authenticity of genuine parts from the quality of products. Driven by interests, some dealers assemble imported genuine parts into a complete machine, and then put non-genuine parts in the packaging of genuine parts to sell to the market. Therefore, the internal quality of the product must be inspected to confirm the authenticity of the imported parts.
The identification of product quality shall be observed, inspected and tested. This includes the following aspects: (1) Check the identification on the product. Brand marks, part numbers and specific codes are printed on all imported parts. Some products are also engraved with the manufacturer and the country of manufacture. For example, the piston of other diesel engines is engraved with part number, group number mark A, B, C and UP ↑ direction mark on its top; The inside of the piston skirt is cast with the model and Mitsubishi logo, as well as the IZUMI logo of the supporting factory, which is clear and easy to identify. It is difficult to achieve the effect of * because the imitations are either missing or illegible. (2) Measure the size of the product through work to see whether it meets the requirements. Some manufacturers also provide measurement tools for customers to prevent counterfeiting. (3) Conduct performance test on the product. Some parts can not be identified from the appearance inspection, and need to be tested with * instrument. For example, the fuel injector and injection plug should be tested on the test bench to detect the injection pressure, injection quantity, injection angle, etc. (4) Conduct physical and chemical performance test on the product. This situation is generally used when there is doubt about the internal quality of the product or there is a problem in the use of the product, which is to seek compensation from the manufacturer. The price of the same parts is quite different from that of genuine parts, factory parts, domestic parts and imitations. Generally speaking, the price of pure parts is relatively high, followed by manufacturers, and the price of domestic parts and imitations is relatively low. The price of pure parts can be 1-2 times higher than that of imitation parts, and some even more. The price of foreign supporting parts is slightly lower than that of the original parts of the complete machine factory. For the parts imported in batches on a regular basis, the agreed price negotiated with the foreign merchant at the beginning is implemented. For the parts purchased sporadically in ordinary times, the uniform catalogue price of the foreign merchant every year is implemented. Sometimes, the foreign merchant also has the preferential price for the parts regularly processed. The quotation of these parts (yen or US dollar) is calculated according to the current import exchange rate, plus tariffs, freight and miscellaneous charges, and then converted into the unit price of the parts. If the price of accessories is lower than the normal price, they can be judged as non-genuine parts or manufacturer's parts. It should be noted that tax reduction and intermediate dealer price increase in the import process will also make the price deviate from the normal price.
Analysis of purchasing channels There are two kinds of purchasing channels: one is directly imported from abroad, the other is purchased from dealers. The quality of accessories imported directly from foreign complete machine factories and accessory parts factories should be guaranteed. However, if the parts are purchased from dealers or imported from Hong Kong and Macao, they should be identified according to the above methods. In addition, all mechanical parts directly imported from abroad have purchase contracts, bills of lading, waybills, packing lists and invoices. If you purchase accessories from an import company, you can ask them to show the above procedures, otherwise, they can be judged as non-imported products. To sum up, when identifying imported mechanical parts, the methods can be varied, and different identification methods can be adopted according to different types of parts, and comprehensive application can be used to identify imported parts.
